“Amazing! Our family went here because of the reviews and local recommendations. It did not disappoint. We stopped in late Saturday evening and were immediately greeted by the staff and seated by our awesome waitress. We ordered the garlic knots, a Balboa sandwich with potato salad, a Margherita and a Willie, Cheech & Bob pizza, cannolis and a Memphis brew that was on tap. Everything came out fast and hot and it was delicious! Our favorite was the Cheech pizza. All of the staff were super friendly and efficient, our waitress exceptionally so. “Omg. Run. Don’t walk. Get here. Eat this pizza. I went in Google search of decent pizza in Memphis. I’ve been searching for some time. Memphis does great things but ethnic food-not so much. This pizza/sauce/creator-designed pizzas are amazing. We ordered The Button Man – a veggie pizza – it’s a great test to see if it was designed, or just sandwich toppings thrown on. Spoiler alert - it was great. There’s also a story behind the name. Ask. The sauce is perfect. It’s what pizza sauce is supposed to taste like. The crust is chewy and crispy-baked on a stone – as God intended. Now I’m curious about the other stories of all the other pizza’s names. Now, THE MEATBALLS. Restaurant meatballs in the south? This is strictly forbidden. I haven’t had an even “decent meatball” since I left the North. Unless I make it. Until now. I will order meatballs EVERY TIME I go to Aldo’s in the future. They are most certainly handmade. I haven’t tasted love like this since the last dinner at my Grandmother’s house. They bloom in your mouth. Tender. The flavors are subtle but a parade in your mouth. I am haunted and must go back. Maybe they are better than mine? But I won’t admit it.
